Dawn smiled
With light in her face,
Like the shy maid who
Opens her window, only to be caught
By curious and besotted eyes.
I had my gaze locked
With the blue sky and,
In my waiting hands my head found rest;
Gazing in peace at the clouds.
Latter at night
Beneath an indigo starry sky
My heart sighed and said:
"I'm alive and my soul's at peace."
**
Corny poem, I know. I don't care.
